Hand Tied Wigs vs Machine Made Wigs

Hand-Tied Wigs
Hand-tied wigs and machine made wigs are worlds apart in construction and cost. If you're looking for a no frills low cost wig, machine made wigs are always the way to go. They usually have a set style and are limited in their range. However, if you require the absolute most natural looking and high performing wig on the market hand-tied wigs will deliver.
Hand tied wigs are much lighter, often weighing about two ounces or less, and uses a soft lace based cap. Each human hair is hand ventilated and/or sewn into a lightweight, mesh cap by a wig maker.
This painstaking process often takes 80-100 hours per wig. This creates an awesome natural look and allows for unlimited style versatility, such as changing the position of a part, putting your hair in an up-do or ponytail.Construction is labor intensive which makes a hand-tied wig more expensive than its machine-made counterpart.
However, the comfort factor makes a hand-tied wig the better choice for patients going through chemotherapy who have sensitive scalps. Hand-tied lace wigs are so discrete someone can run their hands through your hair and they would never know you're wearing a wig.
Machine Made Wigs
A machine made wig will most likely always cost less because they are mass produced in a short period of time. Machine made wigs are constructed using thick caps which create the appearance of more lift and volume to the hair.
However, if a person has a sensitive scalp, a thicker cap can create irritation problems. There are also wigs available with a combo of both manufacturing processes. For example, a lace front wig is hand tied along the hairline in front to create a natural appearance with limited style versatility. Most of the wig, however, is machine manufactured.
For women who have lost some, but not all of their hair often a machine made wig may be a better option. The existing hair can be pulled through the wefting to help keep the wig in place as well as give the hair underneath a place to go. Otherwise, it would have to be pulled up and hidden under the cap potentially creating a visible lump. With that said, a machine made wig or partially machine-made wig can be a great economical option and can look just as natural as hand tied wig.

Tissage Cheveux Humains Naturels

How to Make Hair Extensions Last Long & Look Good

1.  Make sure you are using the best quality hair extensions.  No matter how well you try to maintain cheaper, synthetic quality hair extensions, you will be disappointed.  Higher quality (virgin human) Hair extensions require less work because they actual come from human donors.
2.  Moisture is essential. When wearing human hair extensions it’s a must that you keep them moisturized just as you would your own hair. This will reduce tangles and breakage.  So, your extensions will be fuller for a longer period of time.
3.  Silk, Satin & Braids.  It’s important to wear long hair extensions in a braid over night.  This will reduce tangles while you sleep.  Wrapping them in a silk or satin scarf or hair bonnet will also help preserve the moisture and reduce tangles, breakage and shedding.  If you do not want to tie your hair up at night or wear a granny style bonnet, you can always use a silk or satin pillow to get the same results.
4.  Oil is NOT your friend.  Stay away from oily products when wearing hair extensions. Oils tend to weight the hair extensions down.  Because the hair extensions are not actually growing from a human scalp the oil deposits just sit on the surface of the hair extensions.  This reduces the body, bounce, and volume women expect and love while wearing hair extensions.
5.  Be gentle.  Hair extensions are generally attached close to the scalp. If applied properly, you should be able to go about your normal daily styling routine while wearing hair extensions. However, during the first couple of days you want to give your hair some time to grow so that the extensions are further from the scalp.  This will reduce the chances of your natural hair being damaged by the extensions.
6.  Keep them clean.  Nothing says “eww” worst that stinky nasty hair extensions.  If you want them to look fabulous, keep them clean.  This way they will flow and have the body bounce and shine you want.

How to Measure Your Head for a Human Hair Wigs?

How to Measure Your Head for a Human Hair Wigs?
Head size has very little to do with the overall size of a person. It is best not to make any assumptions about fit, and to take measurements. To measure your head, find a flexible seamstress measuring tape. Start at your forehead, just above your eyebrows; proceed toward one side of your head, following the hairline. When you reach the ear area, take the tape behind the ears. Follow the tape all the way around the head, meeting up at your forehead in the front. When you have that measurement, this is your head circumference. To determine the right size wig for you, measure the circumference of your head from the front hairline, behind your ear, to the nape of your neck, to your other ear and then back to the front hairline.
What size wig head should I get?
Your wig should fit comfortably with your natural hairline, which is a few inches above your eyebrows. The back of the wig is to come down to the nape on the back of your neck. Studies show that 95% of the population wears an average or medium wig cap size.
How do I measure my frontal head?
Starting at the front hairline, measure directly across the middle top of your head to the area that you have determined is your nape. At front of ear, measure from hairline at base of sideburn, up across the hair line along forehead to same point in front of other ear.
How do you measure head size?
Place the string or tape around your head about 1/8" above your ear, across the mid-forehead, completely circling your head. Hold the tape firmly, but not too tightly. Basically you need to measure your head exactly where the hat will sit. If your measurement falls between sizes, choose the next largest size.
Approximately 90% of women will wear an average sized cap. Among the remaining 10%, the majority of these will have petite sized caps. Most human hair wigs manufacturers make very few human hair wigs in petite caps, and even fewer companies offer large caps so if your head is outside of the average range, you will have fewer style options. For petite head sizes, if the human hair wigs is only slightly too large, you can try taking a regular needle and thread, and taking it in slightly. Do not cut the inside of the human hair wigs, but create a tuck, as you would on a pair of pants that are too large in the waist. Sometimes wearing a wig cap or cushion band underneath your human hair wigs can help with a human hair wigs that is too large. Making a human hair wigs larger is much more tricky and not recommended. What is Bleached Knots

Single Knots
Single knots are considered the best method of knotting producing a tiny knot for each individual hand-tied hair. Two or three individual hairs can be single knotted at one time speeding up the process to the detrimental of creating a larger knot with less aesthetically pleasing finish.

Double Knots
Double knots literally involve knotting hair twice to produce a double knot which provides a stronger, more robust knot. The resultant knots are however even more visible under close inspection.

Bleached Knots
Bleaching the knots is just meant to make the knots less detectable. They won't be clear or totally invisible. The bleached hair will help to hide the knots in about 1/4 – 1/2 inch fronts. It is a method of making the hair appears as if it is growing from the scalp. It gives a realistic view effect. If the original hair color is Black, Dark Brown, Medium Brown or Brown, then knots that hold the hair onto the base will be slightly lighter and will be much less visible.

Why choose Bleached Knots?
The knots will be smaller after bleaching, which is hard to detect when you wear wigs with bleached knots. In addition, the knot's color will fade. As regards these advantage of bleached knots, the disadvantage of double knots and single knots are obvious. Single Knots are hard to detect, but easy to shed, by contrast, Double Knots are hard to shed, but easy to detect.
Of course, Bleached Knots have its disadvantage: it's bad to the hair quality and it will be easy to shed, which is the deadly reason.
So, we recommend that you'd NOT bleach the knots through the entire head, but around perimeter hairline 2 inches. Besides, to the wigs which couldn't be bleached, we recommend single knots instead of bleached knots.

What is Full Lace Wigs & Frontal Lace Wigs?

- What is a full lace wig?

Full lace is one of the most expensive wigs you can buy, but there are very good reasons for it. As you can guess by the name, it has lace all around. So the whole cap is made out of light mesh material which is far superior to traditional caps. The hair is not sewn on by a machine, but rather each hair is attached by hand. Because of this meticulous and time consuming process, the price goes up in comparison to other types. The reason why having the whole cap made out of lace is better than anything else is the natural and seamless look you get. Your hairline will look absolutely real and perfect and you can also part your hair any way you want to. You can ever have cornrows because the lace ensures a realistic parting everywhere. Wearing a high ponytail or different updos is also not a problem with a full lace wig so you have countless style options. Since the lace is very thin, a full lace is so comfortable to wear, it will feel just like your natural hair. We recommend that you select this type if you want the most natural look possible. This hairpiece will mimic your natural strands perfectly no one will ever dream that you’re actually wearing a wig. Although it is more expensive than other types, the look and feel of this wig is simply not comparable to cheaper varieties. A full lace is perfect for our most demanding customers who only want the absolute best. The only downside to a full lace is that you do not have the option to sew in any additional bundles on the cap in order to make it fuller.

- What is a lace front wig?

The name is pretty self-explanatory, it is a wig type that has lace only at the front, unlike a full lace one. It is constructed in a way that you get a normal cap and mesh material at the front, usually going from one temple to the other. The hair on the cap is sewn by a machine and the hair on the lace is hand sewn. Because of that type of construction, it is the cheapest out of the three. The lace is strategically positioned in the front so that you can still have a natural looking hairline at the front, where it matters the most. However, the hairline at the back will not be as natural so we don’t recommend wearing high ponytails. You also have less options when it comes to parting your hair. But if you’re not so hung up that, a lace front will do the job, it is still considered to be a high quality hairpiece. Many women like having a regular cap along with the lace because it feels more secure and sturdy. Another advantage of having a cap and not only lace is that you can add more bundles to your wig. You do that by buying some bundles that are the same as the hair on the wig and you simply sew it onto the cap. It is actually very simple and you can do it yourself. But if you don’t plan on adding additional bundles yourself, but still want a full look, go for a higher density lace front wig.

How to Grade Hair Bundle Extensions?

How to Grade Hair Bundle Deals?

The hair bundle deals business has changed dramatically over the past ten years.
Today, there are so many different types of hair bundle deals as well as marketing terms to quantify the quality of the hair.
The (5A, 6A, 7A, 8A, 9A, 10A) grading system of hair bundle deals was created by manufacturers in China as an easy way to explain to their clients “how good the hair is.”
Currently, there is not a “Universal Standard” for human hair bundle deals grading. There is not a standard hair grades chart that you can pull up and it be accurate.
Technically someone could call their hair bundle deals 8A despite being smelly, crappy, tangling, non-remy hair.
Here are some factors you should consider when shopping for virgin hair bundle deals:
  • Wefts: Single stitch or double stitch? Double stitch wefts should reduce shedding.
  • Weight: The standard weight of sew-in hair bundle deals are 100 grams or about 3.5 oz. Is the bundle cheaper because it weighs less?
  • 100% Human Hair: We only sell 100% remy human hair and think most of our clients prefer this. If you are looking for really cheap hair that will not last, color, or style then consider a synthetic blend.
  • Remy or Non-Remy: You want remy human hair with the cuticles facing the same direction to reduce chances of tangling.
  • Single Donor or Multiple: Single Donor hair really only matters for a few types of hair including Indian Temple hair or possibly a unique gray hair. Is it necessary? 99.9% of the time we would say no. Some companies “claim” the hair bundle is from a single donor but I would not pay extra for it.
  • Single or Double Drawn: Most all human hair sold in the USA market is single drawn hair. The cost to produce a double drawn bundle is much higher because of the shackling process of removing the shorter hairs is much more expensive during the manufacturing process. Expect to pay more for a hair bundle deals that has long hairs all the way to the tips.
  • Color: Can you color the hair? The best quality virgin hair will lift all the way to a #613 Blonde. If you are not coloring the hair you might consider buying a less expensive option if available.
  • Styling: Human Hair bundle deals generally should not have an issue styling.

What is Cold Fusion,Hot Fusion,Tape In,Clip In,Braided Weft Hair Extensions?

What is Cold Fusion,Hot Fusion,Tape In,Clip In,Braided Weft Hair Extensions?
Cold Fusion Extensions-Micro Ring Hair Extensions/Nano Ring Hair Extensions
Micro ring hair extensions are easy to apply and damage free. A micro loop hair extensions is applied to a similar sized piece of your own hair. Tiny, silicone lined aluminium rings hold the extensions securely in place, without the need for any harsh glues or chemicals. Micro ring hair extensions can be reused for several applications.
Nano ring hair extensions are unique among all other hair extensions types because they use a special method of application which is definitely one of the best around. There is no tape or glue involved, no clips, and no heat is required to apply nano rings. That’s what makes them so popular. Nano rings are installed using a cold fusion method and here’s how that works. Very small and thin strands of hair are connected to your natural strands with a nano ring which is then secured with pliers. You may think this method is complicated, but it’s actually one of the easiest and safest ones around.

Hot Fusion Hair Extensions-- U Tip Hair, I Tip Hair, Flat Tip Hair, V Tip Hair
Hot Fusion hair extensions are one of the top beauty trends. Fusion hair extensions provide a natural look and are long-lasting. Also known as the“glue-in” method, the hair extensions tip is a square-shaped keratin protein bond which is heated up and melted onto your hair. It is extremely important to have a professional take out the bonds after use to avoid damage to your hair.
Tape in Hair Extensions
Tape in hair extensions are the least expensive semi-permanent hair extensions method available for both the cost of hair and the application. They are the easiest hair extensions method to maintain and easiest to maintain. They're light weight and least damaging. Tape in hair extensions are reusable for up to a year, they are good for 3-4 applications.
Clip in hair Hair Extensions
Clip in hair extensions are temporary hair extensions with the option to take them out as often as you prefer. With this type of extension, it will not hold well in thin hair due to the weight of the clips. The clip in hair extensions will not hold with thin hair as the weight of each weft is really heavy and they tend to slide out, especially if you want them for every day wear! Further damage could be caused by the clips putting strain on the thin hair causing bald spots. If you want full hair every day, clips are not the best option.
Braided Weft hair Extensions
Braided Weft hair extensions are sewn into your natural hair which is braided to cover your whole head and the wefts of hair are sewn in to the braided rows. Those with thin hair usually do not have enough hair to make the small braid to hold the hair extensions.

How Do I Take Care My Hair Wigs?

How Do I Take Care My Hair Wigs?
Protect the hair wigs from an oily appearance by keeping your own hair clean. Besides washing your own hair, you can also wear a wig cap under the hair wigs. Wash a human hair wigs infrequently; wear it for about 6 times between washings. However, if it starts looking oily or dirty, then decrease the wearing time between washings.
The first step to washing a hair wigs is to make sure it is detangled. Use a wide tooth comb to get rid of any knots your hair wigs may have. After the 10 minutes have passed, rinse your hair wigs until the water runs clear. Wrap your hair wigs in a towel and gently pat dry until all excess water is gone. Finish with a leave in conditioner, focusing most of the product towards the ends as this is where the hair gets the most tangles. Let it air dry on a hair wigs stand.
